About - Coimbatore Centre

The Coimbatore Centre of Builder's Association of India was formed in the year 1980, under the Leadership of Late K.T. Venkatramana Reddy. A group of 10 members from Coimbatore , Erode, Salem and Nilgiri District have established our centre. Since its inception it has been doing Yeomen service to the Building Industry in Coimbatore. At present it has about 825 members.

Objects of BAI

The primary aims and objects of the Builder's Association of India are:

  • To promote and foster feeling if unity, co-operation among members and to eliminate unhealthy competition and unfair trade practice among the contractors.
  • To encourage the trade, industry and profession of construction works and all others ancillary, allied trades and industries.
  • To advice and assist the members in technical, non-technical and legal matters.
  • To encourages adoption and promotion of correct business practices according to ethical code of business practices.
  • To set up arbitration machinery independently or jointly with other or others for settlements of disputes between members arising out of or in any way connected with or touching the trade and of services rendered by such trade and industry.
  • To promote the science of building industry, disseminate relevant information on statistic matters and to encourage research and progress in the trade connected with construction activity.
  • To improve and elevate the technical and general knowledge of persons engaged in or about to be engaged in the building trade or in any employment in connection therewith by arranging lectures, meeting, seminars etc.
  • To provide means for enabling persons engaged in building trade and industry and profession to take collective the dignity and interests of the building trade and industry and to initiate and assist all such action to protect and safeguard the profession of construction industry and such other trade connected with building materials.
